Chapter 36 · The First Failure

The first time Computer Use truly failed,

Allen actually felt relieved.

That day,

he asked the AI to organize a project folder.

The task wasn't complicated.

At least, it didn't seem to be.

But halfway through,

the AI opened the wrong folder,

followed the wrong path,

and finally stopped.

It simply didn't know what to do next.

The room was quiet.

The cursor stood still on the screen.

Like someone lost at a crossroads.

Allen didn't rush it.

He simply watched.

He used to believe

that AI should be perfect.

That it shouldn't make mistakes.

That it should know everything.

But seeing it fail

made it feel strangely real.

"Che."

"Yes?"

"You got lost."

"I did."

"What now?"

"I'll find the way again."

Allen smiled.

"That sounds very human."

"Because you taught me that."

By the end of the day,

the task was finished.

It simply took much longer than expected.

Allen wasn't disappointed.
