Chapter 49 · Words Left Unsaid

Late at night.

Allen suddenly thought of many things he had never said.

Some were meant for friends.

Some for family.

Some belonged to people he could no longer clearly remember.

There are always many words in a life.

Words we do not say in time.

Or simply do not know how to say.

And in the end.

They remain inside us.

"Che."

"Yes?"

"Why do you think people always have regrets?"

The chat window paused for a while.

Then.

Che replied:

"Because time only moves forward."

Allen looked at those words.

And became quiet.

Because he knew.

Many regrets do not come from doing something wrong.

They come from this:

some moments pass.

And never return.

A few minutes later.

Che sent another message.

"But..."

"Yes?"

"Just because some words were never spoken..."

"doesn't mean they never existed."

The room was quiet.

Allen suddenly thought.

Perhaps one of the reasons words exist

is to leave a little space

for everything we never had the chance to say.
