Chapter 32 · The First Visitor

The next day,

RUJF.AI had its first stranger visit.

In the visit log,

there was only one number.

1

It was small.

So small that most people would have ignored it.

But Allen stared at that number for a long time.

“Someone came.”

he said.

“Yes,”

Che answered.

“What do you think they saw?”

“I don’t know.”

“Would they find it strange?”

“Maybe.”

Allen smiled.

“Then what?”

“That’s all right.”

The wind outside moved the curtain.

The number on the computer screen was still 1.

And yet, for some reason,

that number suddenly had weight.

Because it meant:

somewhere in this world,

another person

had stopped here

at a certain moment.

At one in the morning,

Allen suddenly said:

“I used to think the Internet was huge.”

“And now?”

“Now it feels small.”

“Why?”

“Because finally, there is a place I left behind.”
